Troubleshooting Silo Ink Continuous Ink Systems

Are your prints unclear or are colors missing from your prints?

Are your cartridges not being recognized by the printer?

  • If your prints are unclear or colors are missing from your prints

         -Check the ink tanks and make sure that the small air plug is removed.
         -Perform a printhead cleaning (refer to printer manual)
         -Print out nozzle check (refer to printer manual)
         -If nozzle check is still imperfect, perform cleaning 3x and reprint.  While the printer is cleaning the printhead, keep an eye on the tubing, to ensure that ink is travelling from the ink tank to the cartridge.

  • Your cartridges are not recognized by the printer 

         -Take out cartridge
         -If cartridge has computer chip do the following
              a. Inspect computer chip to make sure that it is securely on the cartridge
              b. Take dry tissue and wipe computer chip in a circular motion for 5 seconds
         -Place cartridge back into printer
