Planned Obsolescence is an ideology in product design where engineers purposefully build a product that will break down after a certain amount of time. Ink Jet printers are no exceptions. Many printers made in the 90’s and early 2000’s still function Perfectly today, yet a printer I purchased not 2 years ago stopped working due to some kind of malfunction with the paper feeder. Coincidence? I think not. If your printer has failed sooner than you expected, you may be the victim of planned obsolescence. The idea behind planned obsolescence is to keep the customer coming back and buying new products. Companies would make millions if not billions less, if they simply made a product that’s going to work forever. Sucks to be treated like that, right?

Silo Ink is different. We manufacture our products to last; plain and simple. We make refillable cartridges so you can reuse
it many times, and it will never break, wear, or stop working. I’m sure you’ve heard that before, and perhaps even trusted brand names, only to see them turn their back on you when your product breaks. Again, Silo Ink is different. We have a LIFETIME warranty on our ink cartridges. What does this mean? It means that 20 years down the line, if your cartridge stops working, contact us, and we’ll send you a fully functional cartridge, free of charge (just pay for shipping!) How about that? A company that stands behind its words and products with a warranty so good, you’ll never have to buy another cartridge ever again! In fact, we are so confident that our cartridges will outlast your printer, that when your printer dies, return your used Silo Ink cartridges back to us, and we’ll send you a coupon for 50% off a new set of cartridges for your new printer! Silo Ink’s refillable cartridges are compatible with Brother ink cartridges, Canon ink cartridges, Epson ink cartridges, and hp ink cartridges. Still not convinced? Try our product for 30 days. If you don’t like it, return it for a full refund…

Ink Cartridges – n.
annoying one time use containers filled with ink that no one likes to purchase due to high cost and enormous waste.

Refillable Ink Cartridges – n. reusable ink containers that can be manually refilled until the end of time that costs significantly lower than regular ink cartridges.

In a world of economic uncertainty and environmental conservatism, it is amazing that multi-billion dollar corporations continue to market their ink cartridges as one time use products. Silo Ink is here to change all of that. 100% of everything we sell are refillable and reusable. That’s right, once you purchase Silo Ink Refillable Ink Cartridges, you will no longer be buying ink cartridges. Instead, you will be purchasing bottles filled with ink. You can refill a cartridge 10x with just one bottle, and each bottle retails for just $15. Silo Ink has Brother compatible ink cartridges, Canon compatible ink cartridges, Epson compatible ink cartridges, and HP compatible ink cartridges for a variety of different printers. Silo Ink: The Last Ink Cartridge You’ll Ever Buy. Stop throwing away your cartridges, and start reusing them.

In this day and age, it is difficult if not impossible to find a deal that truly offers great savings. Today we will discuss the types of ink jet printers that will actually save you money in the long term.

Believe it or not, buying cheapo ink jet printers will usually cost you more in the long run. This is because of the technology that is used inside those printers. Typically, printers that cost between $30 and $60 will use 3-in-1 cartridges, meaning the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow colors are all crammed into one cartridge. Each cartridge costs $25 to replace and hold just 1/3 of the ink of a normal ink cartridge.

If you are aware of SIlo Ink and our promise to our customers, you will know that we promise to save you $$, be more sustainable, as well as offer uncompromising quality prints, whether it be photos or documents. In order to take advantage of this, you must A) purchase a compatible printer, and B) Purchase Silo Ink cartridges/refill ink. If you continue to purchase ink from the printer manufacturer, then you are simply falling into their trap. Purchase their printers, and use Silo Ink. We save consumers 80% compared with buying the manufacturer’s ink, and 40% of people surveyed can’t even tell the difference between our ink and theirs!

Need help deciding which printer you’d like to purchase? Check out our printer recommendations guide. http://siloink.com/wp/silo-ink-printers-recommendations-guide

8 am.: Monday Morning. I walk into the doors of Silo Ink with a positive attitude and a radiant smile. How can I be unhappy when I am living my dream job with a company that aligns with my morals and aspirations in life?

October 4th, 2010: The day that I joined Silo Ink forever changed my life. My journey with this refillable ink cartridge company started with a sincere invitation from a friend and the Vice President of the company: Mr. Tik Yip.

Coming from a corporate culture with PepsiCo for four years, walking into this new start up office was quite the change. With heavy hesitation and inability to decide if I wanted to begin a career with Tik as business partner, I had to ask him the golden question: “Why should I choose to work here at Silo Ink?” Unlike many other business executives that I have dealt with trying to sell me their company, Tik took quite a different approach. He said: “Let me tell you how Silo Ink began” ….

What started with a research project had turned into the progressive company that Silo Ink is today. From the research project, He had realized how ink was one of the most expensive liquids in the world and had also discovered that ink jet industry served on a “razor blade” business model. Concerned with Mother Nature, he also saw the significant amount of plastic waste produced from ink cartridges. As a consumer himself, he was fused with energy and determination to create a product that save other consumer (like himself) money, save the Earth without jeopardizing quality print results. After more research and development, Silo Ink began.

After this story, I was sold.

With blessed and humbled success from 4 years of Sales Management at PepsiCo: Frito Lay, I knew my strength was in sales & marketing. Without hesitation I confirmed my decision to join the company that very day and here is why:

I saw that this company started from a genuine place. Tik started Silo Ink from the frustration of paying for ridiculously priced cartridges himself and seeing his passion and determination to create change in the world was inspiring. His energy and excitement for his company was contagious to say the least.

I also knew Silo Ink would be an easy sell to any target audience. Much like Michael Jackson and Celine Dion, there is not much need for marketing or ‘selling’ to their artistry: their amazing talent speaks for itself.

Four months after and three successful tradeshows later, I can confidently say this: Silo Ink is a star performer in its class of contenders. Simply Google search our company and let your results be the judgment on my previous statement.

Along with our amazing Silo Ink cartridges, I am also blessed to have talented and outstanding people as business partners. Every thought and idea brought to the table at work is treated with respect and appreciation. We stand by each other to celebrate each blessed win and pick each other up when results are undesirable. That, in itself, makes my time spent at Silo Ink even more priceless.

6pm: Monday Evening. I walk out of the front door at Silo Ink with a great smile. Feeling accomplished and productive with excitement to do this all over again at 8am tomorrow morning….. Yes, excitement to come to work again.

Consumers were amazed at the quality of Silo Ink’s printed product. We have continued our research and development over the past few years to ensure the highest quality of ink for our consumers. The end result was the discovery of a manufacturer in Germany that produces ultra premium grade ink that exceeded our expectations. Gone are the days of syringes and funnels and pressuring methods. Silo Ink refill bottles were created with customized nozzles that fits perfectly into the refilling hole on the cartridges, making this one of the simplest process in the refillable ink market.

With genuine customers’ interest alongside a team of, dedicated and extremely warm staff, Mac World 2011 became one of our most successful consumer tradeshow in the history of Silo Ink. I am passionate about Silo Ink because it aligns with my moral and ethical values. Silo Ink provides product that are high in quality along with significant cost savings while creating green sustainability. We are humbled for the blessed business and continuous interest from every single last one of our customers. Further more, we are glad to be apart of an ongoing process to help save Mother Earth.
